And We're Off
Apparently if you work for the city of Tempe and you see even one drop of rain fall from the sky, you immediately cancel any and all games for the day. It never rains for more than 20 minutes at a time in Arizona in the summer, yet the site supervisor took it upon himself to cancel all the softball games last night at 5:30 (first pitch was scheduled for 6:30). By the time we got there at 6:15 there wasn't a cloud in the sky, but the games were cancelled none the less.
The drive over was easy peasy, we figured out the iPod charger/transmitter, ate at KFC, and got gas for less than $3. Apparently Quarzite, AZ didn't get the memo about inflated gas prices.... good for them.
Our dissapointment at the softball field did allow us time to meet up with Aunt Sue and John for dinner at Four Peaks and a good night of partying with my boys from college.
