A Four State Day
We got off to an early start today leaving from Tacoma just before 5am. Fully prepared for the almost 850 mile journey that was ahead of us, we knew it was going to be a rough one. Ty started out the trek while I caught a few hours of sleep to prepare for my leg of the voyage. Going through the hills of Eastern Washington was tough but there were virtually no other drivers on the road. At about 7:30 we stopped to fuel up, grab a bite to eat, and I took over behind the wheel.
Through the rolling hills of Eastern Oregon and into Idaho, we kept moving right along, trying to stop only when absolutely necessary. Therefore, the next stop didn't come until Boise where we grabbed some food, once again fueled up, and switched drivers. Of course, being that it is Father's Day we made sure to give the old men a call, to wish them a happy day. From Boise, Ty took it all the way to Salt Lake City, where we shacked up for the night in preparation for the trip to Denver tomorrow.
