Day 31

Trekking Through the Garden State

The trip from Union City to Trenton only takes about an hour, even at 4pm on a Friday. The only hiccup was when the New Jersey Turnpike inexplicably goes from 4 to 3 lanes.

We arrived in Trenton just before gates opened and grabbed our tickets at Will Call. Thanks to Greg Coleman for comping the tix.

The Thunder front office was taking on a 4 man softball team called the King and his Court. The show has been around for 60 years and it feels that old. The jokes are corny and the show is somewhat boring, but the message they are trying to send is good. Still we don't recommend it.

Waterfront Park is a nice little ballpark and the Thunder put on a great show. They were voted the best Franchise in Minor League baseball last season and it's easy to see why.

Onto Philly tomorrow.
