Architecture - 7
For an older stadium Kauffman really holds up. The main concourse is a little high off the field, but open to the field like many of the new ballparks. The fountains in the outfield are a great unique feature that you won't see at any other ballpark.
Location/Surrounding Area - 5
The Truman Sports Complex is located on the east side of Kansas City with not too much surrounding it, but it does offer a huge parking lot for tailgating.
Food - 5.5
Moderately priced and a great selection of frozen items for the hot midwestern summers.
Fan Support/Knowledge - 3
This is just a tough team to support. They were giving away replica KC Monarchs hats to the first 20,000, but only had 15,000+ show up.
Atmosphere - 6.5
Very family oriented with the kids zone beyond right field and Slugger the mascot.
In-Game Entertainment - 5
Mainly used the scoreboard for highlight videos and games. Good promotion of upcoming give away days.
Scoreboard - 6
Video board and Matrix boards are nothing special, but we loved the shape of scoreboard, modeled after the teams crown logo.
Parking/Transportation - 7
Ample parking spots, not too expensive, just a little tough to get out.
Seating - 6
The upper deck seats were pretty high, but ticket prices are cheap.
X Factor/Bonus - 7
We might have seen the Royals play their best game of the year. Overall we enjoyed our time at Kauffman.
Total - 58/100
